Siyasanga Qomoyi Foundation

On a cold Friday afternoon, The Ntombi Project set out to join the Siyasanga Qomoyi Foundation in Phase 7, Bloemfintein, where Siya Qomoyi aims to host a weekly soup kitchen for its residents. The Siyasanga Qomoyi Foundation sources funds, food and clothes through donations to give back to the community.

From serving a warm nutritious meal to the young children waiting in line, to handing out 2000 Ntombi sanitary pads to their mothers and young women standing beside them – The Ntombi Project team was only too happy to form such a powerful partnership with a foundation that shares the same sentiments.

Speaking about our shared goal of making sure no woman is without the resources she needs when menstruating and feeding a community in need, Siya said: “I’m so excited and extremely grateful to have people join the cause to lessen the load on what has been a self-funded foundation for the past 6 years. What we are doing here is about building a better future for our youth and helping them in any way we can.”
